Hatred and idiocy again shows it's face on the UCSD campus after the shameful Compton Cookout incident. A noose was found hanging from a light fixture in the UCSD library yesterday. If this is a joke, it is NOT FUNNY. If it is racism then it must be stopped. My daughter attends that school, her dorm mates are a wonderful, racially diverse groups of girls, just the kind of 'melting pot' environment that I want her in. Obviously, there are all horrified as to what has happened. There is a student rally against such hatred planned for outside the library this morning at 8 am PST. Please give all the enouragement and support that you can to the students and faculty there to help stop such events from occurrng again.

The noose. So, what exactly will the excuses be for this cowardly act that brings up memories of the confederate KKK of the South in their attempts to keep slavery and the non-whites in fear? Is it that are uneducated, is it that they are live in fear because our President in the white house is not 100% white. This is what the republican party of “birthers, baggers and blowhards” have brought you. These kids follow what their dullard leaders say. Are you surprise at what they do when you know what they think?
Maybe it was to garner support and sympathy for the BSU cause? I know everyone jumped to the conclusion that this was done by a white guy. Turns out, it's a girl in custody. Now let's find further information, like...white, black, asian, etc....not to mention, if she fessed up to it, she's likely to state her intent as well....then we can have a more intelligent glimpse into what happened rather than lashing out emotionally without knowing the facts.
